Refund eligibility

Who can self-serve, who needs a request, and what to read before you count on a refund.

Description

This page complements How refunds work with eligibility in everyday terms. Exact windows, fees, and exclusions come from the deal listing, in-app messages, and Legal.

Unused vouchers (not yet redeemed)

  • Self-service cancel/refund from My vouchers is generally aimed at offers you have not used and still manage as the buyer—see Cancel on the voucher screen and the Store Credit / Original Payment sheet.
  • Gifted vouchers you no longer control, or offers the app marks not eligible, will not show the same controls—if the app says used, expired, or gifted coupons are not eligible, treat that as authoritative for that screen.

Used vouchers (already redeemed)

  • Direct cancel from the voucher detail is not the normal path once the coupon is used; the app states that used coupons cannot be refunded that way.
  • A separate request or dispute path from Orders may exist for exceptional cases—only when the app exposes it and policy allows. Expect merchant and/or platform review before any payout.

Expired and automatic handling

  • Some expired unused cases trigger automatic handling; the app may show messaging about checking your payment method or timing—follow that screen text and Expired vouchers.

Mixed payments and fees

  • When you paid with Store Credit plus card, refund splits may apply as described on the refund method sheet (credit portion vs remainder).
  • Service fee handling is described on the same sheet (for example non-refundable language on Original Payment lines)—do not assume a different rule than what you see at refund time.
