Store profile and business hours

Walk-through for managers updating the canonical store listing—not deal copy.

Description

Manager / Brand admin: keep store identity aligned with signage and Google Maps. Staff: you may have read-only access; if edit buttons are missing, escalate to a manager.

Steps

  1. Open Me or Store (wording per build), then choose Store profile, Location, or similarly named entry that lists your outlet’s public fields.
  2. Review store display name—must match what customers see at the door to reduce wrong arrivals.
  3. Update description in plain language (hours caveats, entrance instructions, parking). Avoid unverifiable superlatives that support may ask you to change.
  4. Set phone and email to addresses that are answered during service hours. Test a call or send a test message if your policy requires it.
  5. Open Business hours; for each weekday, set open and close (use 24h or the picker your app provides). Add breaks or split shifts if the UI offers them.
  6. Add holiday or exception dates if your app has a Special hours or Closures list—this reduces bad reviews for “closed when the app said open.”
  7. Tap Save; wait for a success state. If the app shows Pending review, your changes may go live only after platform checks—read the on-screen note.

If something goes wrong

  • Save fails with a field highlight: complete every required field; some regions require a legal business name field.
  • Hours look correct but customers still see old data: allow time for cache; if >24h, open a support case with before/after screenshots.
  • You share a building with another brand: double-check you are editing this store in the Store selector before saving.
