Notification and email preferences
Pair with in-app Notifications inbox—some teams want push off but inbox on.
Description
Manager: balance noise vs SLA risk—after-sales timeouts may still ping even if marketing toggles are off. Staff: follow house policy on personal phones during service.
Steps
- From Me, open Notification preferences or similarly named screen.
- Review categories (Finance, Orders, Marketing, System)—toggle off only after reading any warning copy about regulatory mail.
- Adjust quiet hours if offered—ensure they do not cover your peak dispute window without manager approval.
- Open Email preferences separately—choose digest frequency vs instant for money movement if options exist.
- After changes, trigger a test notification only if the UI provides a Send test button—do not spam production events.
- Teach shift leads how to temporarily mute marketing pushes during incidents without missing payout alerts.

If something goes wrong
- Still emailed after unsubscribe: allow 24h; check spam filters; confirm correct email on Account security.
- No critical alerts: OS-level permissions may be off—open system Settings → Notifications for Dealjoy Merchant.
