Legal agreements and consent prompts
User-facing behavior when agreements must be accepted before continuing—not engineering internals.
Description
You may see full-screen or modal prompts to accept terms, policies, or payout-related agreements. Until required consents are completed, some features stay blocked or the app may return you to the prompt when you resume from the background. Timelines, fees, and policy text always live in Legal and in-app links—this article only covers where to tap.
Steps
- When a consent screen appears, read the short summary and tap View or Read full document if you need the complete text.
- Scroll to the bottom if the Accept button stays disabled—many flows require a full scroll to enable the action.
- Tap I agree / Accept only if your business authorizes you to bind the account. If you are front-line staff and are unsure, stop and ask a manager before accepting payout or contract class documents.
- If the app was in the background and you return to a consent screen again, that is expected when a new version of terms is published; complete the flow again.
- If you must decline (rare in production), note the on-screen consequences—access may be limited until a decision-maker signs in.

If something goes wrong
- Button never enables: ensure the document view actually reached the end; on small screens, scroll the inner web view, not only the outer page.
- Loop back to consent after accepting: clear background apps once, retry; if still looping, capture time and screen text for Support chat (Support chat).
- Wrong language: change device or app language in system settings if your org supports it; policy text may still follow platform defaults.
